Friends of Historic Champoeg (FHC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to working in partnership with Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department to interpret Oregon's rich heritage. Our mission is to interpret the cultural and natural history of Champoeg State Heritage Area. We accomplish this by teaching and sharing the story of this special place. FHC works to connect visitors to Champoeg’s cultural and natural landscape by providing funds, services, and organizational assistance to create and present public programming. FHC organizes living history events, creates and administers education programs, produces park guides, and demonstrates pioneer ways of life, skills and crafts. Join us, as a member and/or volunteer, to have fun and help tell the story of Oregon's rich cultural heritage.
