Ride or walk to Butteville on Champoeg’s bicycle trail and see the area first settled by French Canadians in the 1840s. Established in 1863, the store was originally owned by Josie Ryan and sold general merchandise. Today, the Historic Butteville Store is a hidden gem where you can learn a lot about the local history while enjoying a cold drink, treat or ice cream bar.
We are pleased to announce that the Historic Butteville Store is under new management, the non-profit Friends of Butteville.
You can visit their website at www.butteville.org or contact them directly at 503-678-1605 for more information.
The Store is open Fri/Sat/Sun till Memorial Day, then open daily until Sept. 30.
