OPRD Bluebird Day

FHC's Cemetery Saga fundraiser event, tickets go on sale June 1st!  Please call 503-678-1251 x 221 to make reservations.  $20 per person, $15 for FHC members.

~  Lovers of local history will get a chance to "visit" with several pioneer people when FHC present their third annual "Cemetery Sagas for the Summer Solstice".  Costumed actors will portray individuals from Oregon's early history, each making a brief appearance a their respective graves, to talk about interesting facts and incidences concerning their lives.

~  Participants travel by bus between locations that include a grave within the Champoeg State Heritage Area, in addition to both the Butteville and Champoeg cemeteries.  Live music by the local group, Heartstrings, and fresh strawberry shortcake will complete the tours in the historic Manson barn behind the Visitor Center.
